Markets for Makers – Indianapolis

This past weekend I drove into downtown Indianapolis to the Biltwell Center (my FAVE wedding venue EVER) to check out the Markets for Makers event. They had a huge selection of shops there and way too many things I wanted to purchase! This is the first Markets for Makers event that I have gone to, but they travel around state-by-state and host an inexpensive market for makers. Pretty obvious, right? Well, that’s why you keep me around.

The Indy market was packed full of super cute items, SO many that I would have loved to bring home with me but yeah, money… ha! They had multiple photo booths set up for some great Instagram photos and a “make your own” flower crown station that was such a fun experience. One of my neighbors and her daughter came, so I convinced her daughter to make one with me and we quickly realized our crown-making skills were not as bad as we thought! I couldn’t keep track of the number of vendors, but 3 of them really stuck out to me and were my overall favorites: The Tipsy Gardener, Rosmarino Candles and Simples Times Mixers. I quickly purchased a pomegranate mule mixer and ran out of the door before I was tempted to purchase more.

The Tipsy Gardener – This is the cutest place to get a gift for that little plant-loving lady in your life. The sayings on her vases were cracking me up and the terrariums were to-die-for. Oh, and look at those cute little air plant magnets!

Rosmarino Candles was one of the booths that I had the hardest time not spending every last dime on. She has some of the most amazing scents I’ve smelled in a homemade candle, some of my favorites being: Oakmoss + Amber, Succulent, Blood Orange and, of COURSE, Toasted Pumpkin Spice. If you sign up for her newsletter you can get 15% off your first order! I’ll definitely purchase some of her candles online in the coming months for gifts and for my own home.

Simple Time Mixers – the ONLY item I purchased while I was at the Indy Markets for Makers! I was blown away by the fresh taste and gorgeous branding of this company. We both purchased a mixer and cannot wait to test them out in the coming weeks. There were multiple flavors that I plan on trying next, but this time I purchased the Pomegranate Mule Mixer. My other favorite flavors included: Blood Orange Lemonade (see a theme yet? ha!) and Blackberry Lemonade.

All-in-all I was super impressed with the vendors that made it out to the Indy Markets for Makers this year. Also, if you couldn’t make it out to this one, they’ll be back November 24+25 at the Biltwell Event Center for a Holiday Market! You can find more details here!
